How To Stop Ringing In Ears After A Concert – No Nonsense Advice About the Ringing Ears

How To Stop Ringing In Ears After A Concert

It’s a small fact of life that many of us enjoy going to musical concerts. These concerts may range from heavy metal, light rock, or classical but regardless the intent is to have a good time. Unfortunately there is a side effect from going to these concerts and this is ringing ears. The intensity and length of the ringing depends on how loud the music was and how close you were to the speaker system. Usually this will wear off within a few days and after the first night the ringing is simply annoying. How To Stop Ringing In Ears After A Concert

There are multiple factors that make up the reason that your ears are ringing. Mainly the overwhelming noise from both the crowd and the music simply overwhelmed your auditory system. Your ear has thousands of tiny hair cells that take the sound that you hear and transmit it as a vibration up the auditory nerve and into the brain. From hear these vibrations are processed as sounds and we can then enjoy the music. When things are going normally this system does its job just fine and we hear things crisply and clearly. However when things don’t go well and we are exposed to overwhelmingly loud noises the cells in the ear can be come damaged. When this happens they begin to send false signals through the nerve which results in the ringing that so many of us hear after loud events. When the cells heal themselves the ringing and other noises go away, however there are steps to take to prevent this from happening in the first place.

While permanent ear damage is not very likely from one event per year or even one event per season it is likely if you go to multiple events in a row. With this in mind you should always take some sort of ear protection with you to a concert. The most common form of protection is ear plugs and despite what people would have you think they don’t block the sound or music completely. They simply dull it so that your ears are not damaged. If you’re concerned about how you look keep one thing in mind. The band members are most likely wearing earplugs to protect their ears as well. Modern ear plugs are low profile as well so unless someone is standing there looking into your ear they won’t see anything. How To Stop Ringing In Ears After A Concert

There is one other thing that you can do to prevent damage to your ears and it’s fairly simple. Common sense dictates that if you want to avoid damaging you ears you sit as far away from the stage speakers as you can. You’ll still be able to hear the music just fine at the back of the stadium or arena. Speakers used for concerts are usually pretty powerful and can be heard for quite some distance away. If your ears start to ring during a concert then you can’t really do anything about it. Take note that your ears will repair themselves within a 24 hour period so as long as you’re not abusing them you should be fine. Failure to take proper care of your ears and constantly exposing them to repeated high noise sessions can result in permanent ringing.

You may be wondering however how much sound is too much sound. The official scientific and medical statements are that sounds around 110 decibels will harm your auditory system. This isn’t irreparable harm if only done a few times a year but it can become permanent if you repeat the process. To give an idea of comparison a lawn mower emits about 85 decibels. Remember that you can still have fun in life but it’s important to take care of your hearing, otherwise you may be deaf further down the road. How To Stop Ringing In Ears After A Concert

How To Stop Ringing In Ears From Loud Music – Prevent the Number One Cause of Tinnitus

How To Stop Ringing In Ears From Loud Music

Many people may have experienced ringing in the ears at some point in their lives. Usually, if it only lasts for a few seconds they don’t worry about it too much. However for some people it may last longer than a few seconds. It may last a few minutes, a few hours or even be permanently ringing. Obviously this is a serious problem as it can interfere with their hearing and make it hard to concentrate during the day or sleep at night. Consequently, chronic ringing in the ears can get a person so run down that they have accidents at work or their general health and well being become affected. This article will address how to cure ringing ears.

Ringing ears is the most common symptom of the condition known as tinnitus. It is more accurate to say that tinnitus is a variety of symptoms, including ringing in the ears, that may be caused by other problems in the body.

The number one cause of tinnitus is ear damage. And the number one cause of ear damage is exposure to loud noises for an extended period of time. If you are exposed to some loud noise at a music concert, you may experience ear ringing the next day for a few hours. This is a sign or symptom that the ears have been damaged. It generally goes away after a while as the ears heal or recover from the loud noise. However over time, the ears get more damage or do not recover as quickly. Hence the ringing sound gets louder or lasts longer. How To Stop Ringing In Ears From Loud Music

So the number one way to cure ringing ears is to know when you are doing them harm and take action to prevent this occurring. That might sound a bit silly, as nobody voluntarily inflicts harm on themselves but many people go to events that feature loud music. Many people may work in noisy environments because they need the money.

The point is to not sacrifice your health for some temporary gain. In both of these situations there are alternatives that can allow you to have the best of both. With loud music you could wear ear plugs or take a break from the music (go to a chill out room). In work environments, you should insist on adequate safety equipment (ear plugs or muffs are cheap) and be disciplined enough to wear the equipment.

To cure ringing ears, you should consider preventative care as the best solution. Protecting your ears from the number one cause of tinnitus symptoms should start long before you experience the symptoms on a regular basis. By that stage it could be too late. Remedy For Ringing In Ears – Learn Alternative Treatment Methods to Stop the Ringing in Your Ears

Remedy For Ringing In Ears

While you were hoping that it would go away, you are beginning to notice the ringing and buzzing more frequently, especially when you are trying to go to sleep.

It is also present quite noticeably when you are in a quiet place with no external hustle and bustle. It can be normal to experience some ear ringing, but if it persists or becomes readily apparent, tinnitus may be the diagnosis. Remedy For Ringing In Ears

Knowing this can be alarming, but also opens you up to the possibility of finding a remedy for ringing ears. While it’s not always possible to completely cure your symptoms, you can reduce them or mask the noise, making it more tolerable.

Remedies Associated with Hearing Loss

Many cases of tinnitus are linked to hearing loss. As your ear ages, it loses its normal function and tiny organs become damaged or worn out. The result is often tinnitus accompanied by hearing loss.

The American Tinnitus Association indicates that treating the hearing loss may also provide a remedy for ringing ears. A well-functioning hearing aid, for example, can allow your ear to receive more information and reduce your tinnitus symptoms.

Cochlear implants, used to help deaf or severely hearing impaired people, can also help. It is thought that the electrical impulses re-route the nerve communication, cutting off the parts of the ear that are causing the ringing. When it comes to a remedy for ringing ears, the implant is a more extreme measure, so look at all your options before deciding.

There Are Alternatives For You

Alternative medicine is becoming so commonplace that it is almost an oxymoron anymore. These options are becoming frontline players in the fight for better health. Even medical professionals are starting to recommend them in certain circumstances, as well as use them with their own families. Remedy For Ringing In Ears

As a remedy for ringing ears, there are several alternative therapies that have seen promising results. Acupuncture is one of the most highly recommended alternative remedies for tinnitus. This oriental discipline works with pressure points throughout the body that correspond with different organs, including the ear. While it isn’t exactly clear how it works, it could be that the extreme nerve activity generated by acupuncture interrupts signals that deal with tinnitus symptoms.

Magnets and hypnosis are used by experts to treat the disease as well. Reducing stress can also help greatly. Blood flow to the ear plays a part in tinnitus. When you reduce stress, blood pressure is lowered, creating an effective remedy for ringing ears.

What You Are Eating Plays A Role In A Remedy For Ringing Ears

This is often the case regardless of the specific health issue you are dealing with. Foods and the vitamins they contain are building blocks of longevity and health. Foods can increase blood pressure, as well as cause obesity, both of which have been linked to tinnitus symptoms.

Watch what you eat, focusing on real, unprocessed foods that are of high quality. Be sure that your diet has plenty of choices that are packed with magnesium, zinc and vitamin B. These are known to provide a possible remedy for ringing ears.
Deficiencies often cause the disease, so adding them to reduce symptoms makes sense.

Tinnitus can be a complicated disease, as well as elusive to effectively treat. However, there are many things that promise to be a remedy for ringing ears. While not all cases can be fully reversed, many symptoms can be reduced with proper care and treatment options. It may be a good idea to take the time to determine your particular cause. After all, knowing the root can help you make better treatment decisions. Remedy For Ringing In Ears

Ear Infections Ringing Ears – What Causes a Ringing Ear and What You Can Do About It

Ear Infections Ringing Ears

It is not unusual for some people to hear ringing, buzzing, humming, or tingling in their ears even when there is no actual external audible sound. This condition is called tinnitus which is often a symptom of other ear conditions.

Most of the time, tinnitus is not a symptom of any serious condition. The ringing ear condition may actually originate from the outer ear, the middle ear, the inner ear, or sometimes abnormalities in the brain. There are many possible causes of ringing ears and below are just some of them.

Ear infections or inflammations
Foreign object inside the ear
Wax build-up in the ear
Nose allergies
Head injury
Natural hearing impairment
Side effect of some medication
Genetic or congenital hearing loss
Noise-induced hearing loss
Acoustic neuroma
Meniere’s disease
Otosclerosis
Aneurysm
Brain tumor

If you suffer from ringing ears, the first thing you should do is to consult an ear specialist about it. The cure for tinnitus depends on what causes it. For specific causes like Meniere’s disease, ear infection, or aneurysm, the only way to treat the tinnitus is to treat the underlying condition. In that type of situation, in fact, tinnitus would not be considered the primary ailment, but rather a secondary symptom of the primary condition. You can imagine the confusion this causes when attempting to diagnose and treat this incredibly debilitating condition. It’s not a huge surprise that some people who have been pursuing traditional medical avenues to discover a cure for their tinnitus symptoms have been suffering with no relief – and, in many cases, a noticeable worsening of their symptoms for years rather than weeks or even months. It’s something that is very difficult for the mainstream medical establishment to put their finger on. Ear Infections Ringing Ears

Then you have the case that, for some situations, there are no specific treatments for the person Sometimes, the tinnitus may disappear on its own only to return with a vengeance at a later time, with as little explanation as to why it came back as to why it arose in the first place or why it disappeared so abruptly.

In some cases, the doctor may only be able to recommend ways to alleviate the sufferer’s symptoms, with varying levels of success and with varying lengths of time that the efficacy of those recommendations remains in effect. A person with ringing ears may be asked to avoid hearing loud noises, hearing aids, positive thinking, or other complementary therapy. Ear Infections Ringing Ears

Earache And Ringing In Ear – Commonly Suggested Ear Ache Remedies

Earache And Ringing In Ear

A viral or bacterial infection of the middle ear is called Acute Otitis Media. It usually results from a complication of an allergy or common cold. This type of infection is more frequent in children. However, symptoms as well as treatments are basically the same for older children and adults. Earache And Ringing In Ear

With Acute Otitis Media, your ear will feel painful while showcasing a red and bulging eardrum. Depending on the gravity, most people heal from this infection without the need for antibiotics or treatment. However, since ENT doctors cannot predict whose infection will heal on their own, ENT doctors still prescribe antibiotics like Amoxicillin to all its patients, especially the ones who experiences it severely or if the symptoms have not subsided after 72 hrs.

Since pain relief is vital, most doctors also prescribe pain relievers like Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen like Tylenol. However, if there is persistent or severe pain accompanied by fever and bulging of the eardrum, Myringotomy should be performed by the ENT specialist.

The ENT specialist will create an opening onto the ear drum to drain the fluid from the Otitis Media or middle ear. This opening will just heal in time; no treatment is necessary. Thus, the procedure will not affect one’s hearing. Thus, for those who frequently experience Acute Otitis Media, ENT doctors will suggest to have your Tympanostomy or drainage tubes placed inside your eardrums.

These days, more and more people are becoming practical and self-reliant. Although it is a general rule not to self medicate, especially with kids, there are those who still prefer conventional ways of curing themselves.

Here are some of the most common ear ache remedies:

Herbal Drops
These drops have various oils, specifically garlic oil. Garlic is known as a natural antibiotic which means, it possesses antibacterial properties. Initially, you need to warm up the bottle in a hot water cup and then put 3 droplets into the infected ear. You can use a hairdryer for about 3 minutes on low setting. Then, use a hot folded wash cloth that is placed inside a zip-locked bag. You need to do this about 3x up to 4x a day.

Potato Steam
Cut a potato into two parts. Heat ½ of the potato inside a microwave until it becomes very hot. Place the hot potato on a wash cloth and allow the steam to flow to the infected ear’s canals. Let the steam flow until the potato becomes cold.

Alcohol and White Vinegar
Apply a few drops of Alcohol onto the aching ear. Then, apply a few drops of white vinegar before lying down, for about 10 minutes. Your aching side should be the upper part.
